John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll
John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll, was a Scottish nobleman born on March 18, 1845. He was the son of John Campbell, 8th Duke of Argyll and Lady Elizabeth Georgiana Campbell. The 9th Duke was known for his involvement in politics and served as a member of the House of Lords.
He held the title of Duke of Argyll from 1900 until his death in 1914. The Duke was also a prominent figure in the Scottish Highlands, where he managed the family estate, Inveraray Castle. His contributions to Scottish society included support for various cultural and social initiatives.
