Princess Ileana of Romania
Princess Ileana of Romania was born on January 5, 1909, in Sinaia, Romania. She was the daughter of King Ferdinand I and Queen Marie of Romania. Ileana became known for her charitable work and dedication to her country, especially during World War II when she helped refugees and the wounded.
In 1947, following the establishment of a communist regime in Romania, Ileana and her family were forced into exile. She eventually settled in the United States, where she became a nurse and continued her humanitarian efforts. Princess Ileana passed away on January 21, 1991, in Florida.
