Marie of Romania
Marie of Romania, born on October 29, 1875, was a member of the British royal family and the last Queen of Romania. She was the daughter of Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia. Marie became queen consort in 1914 when she married King Ferdinand I of Romania and played a significant role in Romanian society during her reign.
As queen, Marie was known for her strong personality and dedication to her country. She was involved in various charitable activities and promoted Romanian culture. Marie also contributed to the war effort during World War I, helping to establish hospitals and support soldiers and their families. She passed away on July 18, 1938.
