Princess Feodora of Leiningen was born on December 12, 1807, in Germany. She was the daughter of Emich Carl, 2nd Prince of Leiningen and Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. Feodora is best known for being the half-sister of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, as their mother, Princess Victoria, was married to Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. Feodora married Ernest I, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in 1828, becoming the Duchess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Throughout her life, she maintained a close relationship with her royal family, particularly with her half-sister, Queen Victoria, and was involved in various charitable activities. Feodora passed away on September 24, 1872.
