Princess Elizabeth of Hesse-Kassel
Princess Elizabeth of Hesse-Kassel was born on May 8, 1860, in Kassel, Germany. She was a member of the House of Hesse and the daughter of Prince Frederick of Hesse and Princess Elizabeth of Hesse. Elizabeth became known for her charitable work and involvement in social causes throughout her life.
In 1884, she married Prince William of Sweden, becoming a Swedish princess. The couple had three children and lived in Sweden.
