Prince Nagaya
Prince Nagaya was a prominent figure in the early Nara period of Japan, known for his role as a member of the imperial family. He was the son of Emperor Tenji and the brother of Emperor Kobun. His life was marked by political intrigue and rivalry within the court.
Nagaya was involved in various power struggles, particularly against Prince Yamashiro, which ultimately led to his downfall. He was implicated in a conspiracy and was forced to commit suicide in 707 AD. His life and death reflect the complexities of court politics during this transformative period in Japanese history.
