Prince Hall
Prince Hall was an African American abolitionist and Mason, born in 1735 in Barbados. He is best known for founding the first African American Masonic lodge in the United States, known as African Lodge No. 1, in 1784 in Boston, Massachusetts. Hall's efforts were significant in promoting the rights and social welfare of African Americans during a time of widespread discrimination.
