Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark
Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark was born on February 2, 1882, in Athens, Greece. He was a member of the Greek royal family and the Danish royal family, being the son of King George I of Greece and Olga Constantinovna of Russia. Andrew served in the Greek army and held the rank of major general.
In 1903, he married Princess Alice of Battenberg, and they had five children, including Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Andrew's life was marked by political turmoil in Greece, leading to his exile in 1922. He spent much of his later life in France, where he passed away on December 3, 1944.
