Prince Andrew of Greece
Prince Andrew of Greece was born on February 2, 1882, in Athens, Greece. He was a member of the Greek royal family and the son of King George I of Greece and Queen Olga. Andrew served in the Greek army and held the rank of major general.
In 1903, he married Princess Alice of Battenberg, and they had five children, including Prince Philip, who later became the Duke of Edinburgh. Andrew's life was marked by political turmoil in Greece, and he eventually went into exile after the Greek defeat in the Greco-Turkish War of 1922. He died on December 3, 1944, in Monte Carlo.
