Presidency of France
The Presidency of France is the highest office in the French government, responsible for overseeing the executive branch. The President is elected for a five-year term and can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms. The role includes appointing the Prime Minister, presiding over the Council of Ministers, and representing France in international affairs.
The President also has significant powers, such as the ability to dissolve the National Assembly and call for new elections. The current President, as of October 2023, is Emmanuel Macron, who has focused on reforms in various sectors, including the economy and education.
