Praja Rajyam Party
The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) is a political party in India, founded in 2008 by actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi. The party was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh with the aim of addressing social justice, welfare, and development issues. It sought to represent the interests of marginalized communities and promote inclusive governance.
In the 2009 state elections, the PRP gained significant attention but faced challenges in securing a substantial number of seats. Over time, the party struggled to maintain its influence and eventually merged with the Indian National Congress in 2011, aiming to strengthen its political presence and broaden its impact in the region.
