Pope Peter
Pope Peter, also known as Saint Peter, is considered the first pope of the Roman Catholic Church. He was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ and played a crucial role in the early Christian community. According to tradition, he was martyred in Rome around 64 AD and is often depicted as a leader among the apostles.
Saint Peter is traditionally associated with the Vatican and is believed to be buried beneath St. Peter's Basilica. He is often symbolized by keys, representing the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, which were given to him by Jesus. His feast day is celebrated on June 29.
