Pope Fabian
Pope Fabian was the Bishop of Rome from 236 to 250 AD. He is known for his leadership during a time of persecution against Christians in the Roman Empire. His papacy is marked by the organization of the Church and the appointment of seven deacons to assist in its administration.
Fabian is also remembered for his role in the early development of the Christian community. He was martyred during the reign of Emperor Decius, and his feast day is celebrated on January 20.
