Pomodoro (Tomato)
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a timer to break work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes long, separated by short breaks. Each interval is called a "Pomodoro," which means "tomato" in Italian, inspired by the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a student.
This technique aims to enhance focus and productivity by encouraging sustained concentration followed by rest. After completing four Pomodoros, a longer break of 15-30 minutes is taken. This cycle helps reduce mental fatigue and improves overall efficiency in completing tasks.
