Pomoan language family
The Pomoan language family consists of several indigenous languages spoken by the Pomo people in Northern California. This family includes languages such as Eastern Pomo, Central Pomo, and Northern Pomo, each with distinct dialects and features.
Pomoan languages are known for their complex phonetic systems and rich grammatical structures. Unfortunately, many of these languages are endangered, with few fluent speakers remaining, prompting efforts for revitalization and preservation within the community.
