Political Parties in Vietnam
In Vietnam, the political landscape is dominated by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), which is the only legal political party. Established in 1930, the CPV plays a central role in the governance of the country, guiding policies and decision-making processes. The party emphasizes socialism and maintains strict control over political activities and civil society.
While the CPV is the sole party, there are other organizations and groups that operate within the framework of the state, such as mass organizations that represent various sectors of society. However, these groups do not function as independent political parties and are aligned with the CPV's objectives.
