Vietnamese Nationalist Party
The Vietnamese Nationalist Party, also known as the VNQDD (Việt Nam Quốc Dân Đảng), was founded in 1927. It aimed to gain independence for Vietnam from French colonial rule and promote nationalism among the Vietnamese people. The party was influenced by other nationalist movements and sought to establish a democratic government in Vietnam.
The VNQDD gained some popularity in the 1930s, particularly among students and intellectuals. However, it faced repression from the French authorities and competition from other nationalist groups, such as the Communist Party of Vietnam. Despite its efforts, the party struggled to achieve its goals and eventually declined in influence.
