Place Des Vosges
Place des Vosges is one of the oldest and most beautiful squares in Paris, located in the Marais district. Built in the early 17th century, it features symmetrical architecture with red-brick buildings and elegant arcades. The square is surrounded by lush gardens, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists.
The square is named after the Vosges department, which was the first to pay taxes to the French government after the French Revolution. Today, Place des Vosges is home to art galleries, cafes, and the Maison de Victor Hugo, the former residence of the famous writer.
