Pippin I
Pippin I was a Frankish nobleman who lived during the early Middle Ages. He was the son of Charles Martel, a prominent military leader, and became the Mayor of the Palace of the Frankish Kingdom. Pippin I played a crucial role in consolidating power for the Carolingian dynasty.
He is best known for being the father of Pippin the Short, who later became the first king of the Franks from the Carolingian line. Pippin I's leadership helped lay the groundwork for the eventual rise of the Holy Roman Empire under his descendants.
