Pietro Badoglio
Pietro Badoglio was an Italian general and politician, born on September 28, 1871. He served in various military roles during World War I and later became a prominent figure in World War II. Badoglio is best known for his leadership during the Italian invasion of Ethiopia in 1935 and for his role in the Italian armistice with the Allies in 1943.
After the armistice, Badoglio became the Prime Minister of Italy, leading the country during a challenging period of transition. His government sought to negotiate peace with the Allies while managing the complexities of the ongoing war and the internal political landscape. He remained in power until 1944.
