Reticulum
Reticulum is a term that can refer to a network or mesh-like structure. In biology, it often describes the endoplasmic reticulum, an organelle in cells responsible for protein and lipid synthesis. The endoplasmic reticulum comes in two forms: rough, which has ribosomes on its surface, and smooth, which does not.
In astronomy, Reticulum is a small constellation in the southern sky. It was introduced in the 17th century and is named after the Latin word for "net." This constellation contains several notable stars and is located near other constellations like Hydrus and Dorado.
