Phyllis Schlafly
Phyllis Schlafly was an American conservative activist, lawyer, and author, born on August 15, 1924. She gained national prominence in the 1970s for her opposition to the Equal Rights Amendment, which aimed to guarantee equal legal rights for all American citizens regardless of sex. Schlafly argued that the amendment would undermine traditional family values and harm women.
