Philippe I of France
Philippe I of France was born on May 21, 1052, and became the King of France in 1060. He was the son of King Henry I of France and Anne of Kiev. Philippe's reign lasted until his death in 1108, making him one of the early Capetian kings. He is known for consolidating royal power and expanding the influence of the French monarchy.
During his rule, Philippe I faced challenges, including conflicts with the nobility and the Normans. He was married to Bertha of Holland, and their union produced several children, including Louis VI of France, who would later succeed him. Philippe's reign laid the groundwork for the future development of the French state.
