Philip Barton Key
Philip Barton Key was an American lawyer and politician, born on April 5, 1818, in Georgetown, Washington, D.C.. He served as a U.S. Congressman from Maryland from 1857 to 1859. Key was known for his involvement in local politics and his connections to prominent families in the area.
Key is perhaps best remembered as the son of Francis Scott Key, the author of "The Star-Spangled Banner." His life was marked by both his legal career and his family's legacy, which played a significant role in American history. Philip Barton Key died on January 27, 1879.
