Persian leopards
The Persian leopard is a subspecies of leopard found primarily in the mountainous regions of Iran, Afghanistan, and parts of the Caucasus. They are known for their thick fur, which helps them adapt to cold climates. Persian leopards are solitary animals, primarily active at night, and they are skilled climbers, often resting in trees.
These leopards are classified as vulnerable due to habitat loss and poaching. They primarily hunt deer, wild boar, and smaller mammals. Conservation efforts are underway to protect their habitats and ensure the survival of this magnificent species in the wild.
