Perak Sultanate
The Perak Sultanate is a historical Malay state located in the northern region of Peninsular Malaysia. Established in the 16th century, it was one of the earliest Malay sultanates and played a significant role in the region's trade and politics. The sultanate's capital is Ipoh, which became an important center during the tin mining boom in the late 19th century.
The sultanate is known for its rich cultural heritage, including traditional arts, music, and festivals. The current ruler, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, ascended to the throne in 2014 and continues to uphold the traditions and responsibilities of the sultanate in modern Malaysia.
