Penuel
Penuel is a biblical figure mentioned in the Old Testament, specifically in the Book of Genesis. He is known as the son of Jacob and the father of Reuben, one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Penuel's name means "face of God," which reflects a significant moment in Jacob's life when he wrestled with an angel and encountered God.
In addition to the biblical reference, Penuel is also the name of a location in modern-day Jordan. This site is historically significant as it is believed to be where Jacob built an altar after his encounter with God. The area is rich in archaeological findings that provide insights into ancient cultures and their practices.
