Pench Tiger Reserve
Pench Tiger Reserve is a protected area located in the central Indian states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Established in 1992, it covers approximately 758 square kilometers and is part of the larger Pench National Park. The reserve is named after the Pench River, which flows through the region and is known for its diverse flora and fauna.
The reserve is home to a significant population of Bengal tigers, along with other wildlife such as leopards, wild boars, and various species of deer. It features a mix of deciduous forests, grasslands, and riverine habitats, making it an important ecosystem for conservation and biodiversity.
