Peberholm
Peberholm is a small artificial island located in the Øresund Strait, between Denmark and Sweden. It was created as part of the construction of the Øresund Bridge, which connects the two countries. The island covers an area of about 4 square kilometers and serves as a nature reserve, providing a habitat for various plant and animal species.
The island was completed in 1995 and is primarily uninhabited, with no permanent residents. It plays a crucial role in the ecosystem of the region, offering a green space for wildlife and serving as a transition zone between land and water.
