Øresund Bridge
The Øresund Bridge is a combined road and rail bridge that connects Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, to Malmö, a city in Sweden. Spanning approximately 16 kilometers (10 miles), it includes a bridge section and an underwater tunnel, making it a vital transportation link between the two countries. The bridge was officially opened in 2000 and has since facilitated the movement of people and goods across the Øresund Strait.
The design of the Øresund Bridge is notable for its engineering and aesthetic appeal. It features a cable-stayed bridge that rises above the water, providing stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The bridge has become an iconic symbol of cooperation between Denmark and Sweden.
