Park Hill Flats
Park Hill Flats is a large housing estate located in Sheffield, England. Designed by architect Jack Lynn and completed in 1961, it features a distinctive modernist style with concrete structures and colorful facades. The estate was originally built to provide affordable housing and was one of the first examples of a high-rise residential complex in the UK.
Over the years, Park Hill Flats faced challenges, including issues with maintenance and social problems. However, a major regeneration project began in the early 2000s, transforming the area into a vibrant community with shops, cafes, and public spaces, while preserving its historical significance.
