Pakistan Resolution
The Pakistan Resolution, also known as the Lahore Resolution, was passed on March 23, 1940, during a meeting of the All-India Muslim League in Lahore. It called for greater autonomy for Muslim-majority regions in British India and ultimately laid the foundation for the creation of a separate nation for Muslims, which would become Pakistan.
The resolution emphasized the need for a distinct political identity for Muslims, advocating for their rights and interests. It marked a significant turning point in the struggle for independence, leading to the eventual partition of India in 1947 and the establishment of Pakistan as an independent state.
