P. Yogananda
P. Yogananda, born Mukunda Lal Ghosh in 1893, was an Indian yogi and spiritual teacher who introduced millions to the teachings of Kriya Yoga. He is best known for his book, Autobiography of a Yogi, which has inspired readers worldwide and is considered a spiritual classic. Yogananda founded the Self-Realization Fellowship in 1920 to disseminate his teachings and promote the practice of meditation.
Yogananda's teachings emphasize the unity of all religions and the importance of direct personal experience of God. He traveled extensively, giving lectures and conducting meditation classes, and he played a significant role in bringing Eastern spirituality to the West. He passed away in 1952, leaving a lasting legacy through his writings and the organization he founded.
