Overhangs
An "overhang" refers to a part of a structure that extends beyond its base or support. This architectural feature can be seen in buildings, bridges, and other constructions, providing shade, protection from weather, or aesthetic appeal. Overhangs help distribute weight and can enhance stability by lowering the center of gravity.
In nature, overhangs can also occur in rock formations, where a section of rock juts out over a lower area. These natural overhangs can create unique habitats for plants and animals, as well as provide shelter for climbers and hikers exploring areas like caves or cliffs.
