Ossetians
The Ossetians are an ethnic group primarily found in the North Caucasus region of Russia and in South Ossetia, a disputed territory in Georgia. They speak the Ossetic language, which belongs to the Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. The Ossetians have a rich cultural heritage, influenced by their historical connections to the Scythians and Alans.
Traditionally, the Ossetians are known for their unique customs, music, and dance. Their society is organized around family and clan structures, with a strong emphasis on hospitality. The Ossetians celebrate various festivals, including the Nard game, which is a traditional board game that reflects their cultural identity.
