Ordoño I
Ordoño I was a king of Asturias who reigned from 850 to 866 AD. He was the son of Ramiro I and played a significant role in the early Christian resistance against the Muslim conquest of the Iberian Peninsula. His reign is noted for the consolidation of the Asturian kingdom and the expansion of its territories.
During his rule, Ordoño I focused on strengthening the kingdom's defenses and promoting the Christian faith. He is also known for his efforts to establish a more organized administration, which helped lay the groundwork for future Asturian kings, including his successor, Alfonso III.
