Ramiro I
Ramiro I was the first king of the Kingdom of Aragon, ruling from 1035 to 1063. He was a member of the House of Jiménez and played a crucial role in the early formation of the Aragonese state. His reign marked the beginning of the consolidation of power in the region, as he expanded his territory through military campaigns against neighboring Muslim states.
During his rule, Ramiro I established the foundations for future Aragonese kings and promoted the Christian reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. His leadership helped to strengthen the Christian kingdoms in the region, paving the way for the eventual unification of Spain.
