Operation Iraqi Freedom
"Operation Iraqi Freedom" was a military campaign launched by the United States and its allies in March 2003. The primary goal was to remove Saddam Hussein, the leader of Iraq, from power, based on claims that he possessed weapons of mass destruction and posed a threat to global security. The operation quickly led to the fall of Hussein's regime.
Following the initial invasion, the focus shifted to stabilizing Iraq and rebuilding the country. This involved addressing security issues, establishing a new government, and assisting in the reconstruction of infrastructure. The operation officially ended in December 2011, but challenges in Iraq continued for years afterward.
