Operation Flash
Operation Flash was a military operation conducted by the Israeli Defense Forces in 1982 during the Lebanon War. Its primary goal was to eliminate the presence of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in southern Lebanon, which was seen as a threat to Israel's security. The operation involved ground and air assaults aimed at PLO strongholds.
The operation led to significant territorial gains for Israel and resulted in the expulsion of PLO forces from Lebanon. However, it also sparked widespread criticism and raised concerns about civilian casualties and the humanitarian impact of military actions in the region.
