Oda clan
The Oda clan was a prominent Japanese family during the late 15th and 16th centuries, known for its significant role in the unification of Japan. The clan was founded by Oda Nobuhide, who established its power in the Owari Province. His son, Oda Nobunaga, became one of the most famous leaders of the clan, known for his military strategies and efforts to consolidate power.
Under Nobunaga's leadership, the Oda clan expanded its influence, defeating rival clans and laying the groundwork for the eventual unification of Japan. The clan's legacy continued through Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a former retainer of Nobunaga, who furthered the unification efforts after Nobunaga's death.
