Ocular Migraine
Ocular migraine is a type of migraine that primarily affects vision. It is characterized by temporary visual disturbances, such as flashing lights, zigzag patterns, or blind spots, which usually last from a few minutes to about half an hour. These symptoms can occur with or without a headache and are often caused by changes in blood flow to the eyes or brain.
While ocular migraines are generally not considered dangerous, they can be alarming. They may be triggered by factors like stress, certain foods, or lack of sleep. If someone experiences frequent ocular migraines, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional for proper evaluation and management.
