Ocracoke Lighthouse
The Ocracoke Lighthouse is located on Ocracoke Island in North Carolina. Built in 1823, it is the oldest lighthouse in the state and one of the few remaining lighthouses in the United States that is still operational. Standing at 75 feet tall, it features a distinctive white tower with a black lantern room.
The lighthouse is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and is a popular destination for visitors. Although the lighthouse is not open for climbing, its picturesque setting and historical significance make it a favorite spot for photography and sightseeing.
