Nuptse
Nuptse is a prominent mountain in the Himalayas, located in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It stands at an elevation of 7,861 meters (25,791 feet) and is part of the Mahalangur Himal range. The mountain is situated near Mount Everest, making it a significant landmark for climbers and trekkers in the area.
Nuptse is known for its steep faces and challenging climbing conditions, attracting experienced mountaineers. The first successful ascent was made in 1961 by a British expedition. The mountain's name translates to "west peak" in the local Tibetan language, reflecting its geographical position relative to Everest.
