Nubian Civilization
The Nubian Civilization thrived in the region south of ancient Egypt, primarily in present-day Sudan. Known for its rich culture and advanced society, Nubia was home to powerful kingdoms such as Kush, which engaged in trade and warfare with Egypt. The Nubians were skilled in agriculture, metalworking, and pottery, contributing significantly to their economy and cultural development.
Nubians are also recognized for their impressive pyramids, which served as royal tombs, and their unique writing system, known as Meroitic. The civilization played a crucial role in the exchange of goods and ideas between Africa and the Mediterranean, influencing the broader history of the region.
