Notre Dame de Paris
Notre Dame de Paris is a famous Gothic cathedral located on the Île de la Cité in Paris, France. Construction began in 1163 and was completed in 1345, making it one of the oldest cathedrals in the world. The cathedral is known for its stunning architecture, including flying buttresses, intricate sculptures, and beautiful stained glass windows.
In April 2019, a significant fire caused extensive damage to the structure, particularly the roof and spire. Restoration efforts are currently underway to restore Notre Dame to its former glory. The cathedral remains an important symbol of French culture and history.
