Norwegian Traditions
Norwegian traditions are deeply rooted in the country's history and culture. One of the most significant celebrations is 17th May, Norway's Constitution Day, which features parades, traditional costumes called bunad, and various festivities. This day commemorates the signing of the Norwegian Constitution in 1814 and reflects national pride.
Another important aspect of Norwegian culture is the celebration of Jul, or Christmas, which includes unique customs such as the Julenisse, a gnome-like figure who delivers gifts. Families often gather to enjoy traditional meals, including ribbe (pork ribs) and lutefisk (dried fish), creating a warm and festive atmosphere during the holiday season.
