Northern White Rhino
The Northern White Rhino is a subspecies of the white rhinoceros, native to the grasslands and savannas of East and Central Africa. Once abundant, their population has drastically declined due to poaching and habitat loss, leaving only two known individuals alive today, both females.
These rhinos are characterized by their large size, with males weighing up to 2,300 kilograms. They have a broad mouth adapted for grazing on grasses. Conservation efforts are ongoing, focusing on advanced reproductive technologies to prevent their extinction and preserve the genetic material of the Northern White Rhino.
