North Vietnamese forces
The North Vietnamese forces, officially known as the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN), were the military units of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. They were primarily composed of regular army troops, militia, and local forces, and were supported by the Communist Party of Vietnam. Their main objective was to reunify Vietnam under a communist government.
These forces engaged in various military strategies, including guerrilla warfare and conventional battles, against both the South Vietnamese Army and U.S. military forces. The North Vietnamese forces played a crucial role in the eventual fall of Saigon in 1975, leading to the reunification of Vietnam.
