North Shore Line
The North Shore Line was a commuter rail service that operated between Chicago, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was established in the late 19th century and became known for its scenic routes along the shores of Lake Michigan. The line was popular for both daily commuters and leisure travelers, providing access to various suburban areas and attractions.
The North Shore Line was part of the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad, which began operations in 1919. It featured electric trains that offered a fast and efficient means of transportation. However, due to declining ridership and financial difficulties, the service was discontinued in 1963.
