Nordic Passport Union
The Nordic Passport Union is an agreement among the Nordic countries—Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden—that allows free movement of people across their borders without the need for passport checks. Established in 1954, it promotes cooperation and facilitates travel, making it easier for citizens to live, work, and study in any of the member countries.
This union is part of a broader commitment to regional integration and collaboration among the Nordic nations. While the countries maintain their own immigration policies, the Nordic Passport Union simplifies cross-border travel, enhancing cultural and economic ties within the region.
